 I know everyone is a bit busy at the moment trying to bring Jeremy Corbyn down and worrying about Brexit but I am more concerned at the way the most affected by austerity. The disabled. are being treated. This was written a couple of years ago and nothing has changed, I'm still extending loans every month to survive and not lose things I hold dear to me. Food banks are now so overstretched they are finding it hard to cope. and sanctions and assessments are destroying peoples lives and putting them on the street. Lewisham Council dont have a clue

I wanted to go online and was handed this: Great if you’re on Facebook or Twitter, but hang on, what's this new icon I have never seen before? Do any of you know what that means? I am not writing this for my benefit because believe me it’s for all of you. One day you will all be old and become invisible, just like me. I was offered the chance to go and talk about becoming a digital champion for said Council but when you are ten minutes early as you should be if you consider anything important, and the person you’re supposed to be meeting hasn’t even rocked up yet and arrives 15 minutes after you, that winds me up. Incompetent Fools

On 17 May this year I tried a little experiment. I sent an email to my local job centre to see just how long it would take for them to respond to it. Here we are a month later and yesterday not only did I get that response, I also got irrefutable evidence that as the title of this blog says they are incompetent fools and liars. Let’s go back to the start. I had waited three months to see my so called ‘disabled advisor’. My appointment was on 5 June, and I still had the letter and appointment card with the date and time on both. If you miss one appointment your benefits are sanctioned (that means cut in half), for a month as a kind of punishment for wasting their time. If you miss a second three months and a third three years. I am not making this up, I have a friend who this has happened to.
